Thank you to everyone who played today — a truly competitive and entertaining fixture. There was plenty of good‑natured debate on the sidelines about whether players should be classed as Men, Seniors, or perhaps a bit of both, adding to the fun of the afternoon.
On the course, several matches were closely contested, with the decisive final game reaching the 18th all square — real nail‑biting stuff.
Our results were: 2 wins, 2 halves, and 4 losses, giving an overall score of 5–3 to our opponents. Despite the defeat, we have now moved into second place in the table, leaving everything to play for in the final round on 20 September, when all four teams will once again be in action and we take on the Seniors.
As it’s the last match of the series, there will be food afterwards and we hope to round things off with a great atmosphere and a celebratory end to the competition.
